In today’s busy world, more and more people are turning to at home exercise equipment, and a Proform exercise bike may be the equipment in daily workout routine. If this will be your fist time working out, then you’ll have to consider what type of at home exercise equipment you want.
If a good cardio workout is your goal, then the ideal piece of at home exercise equipment is an upright Proform exercise bike. Proforms are one of the best brands in the beginners category; they come with a good variety of features for beginners, and are reasonably priced for those just getting started.
Let’s take a look at some of the available models. The Proform GR 75 is the least expensive Proform exercise bike, and has a variety of nice features. The SMR feature, or Silent Magnetic Resistance, lets you increase or decrease the resistance of your workout “on the fly” thanks to an automatic resistance button.
The GR 75 also offers four trainer programs, which automatically adjust resistance based on the program. Other neat features include a target pacer, a RPM meter, a personal fan, and the patented Step Thru design. Starting at $149, the GR 75 is an awesome bike for beginners looking to increase their skill level quickly.

Next we have the Proform GL 35. Costing around $249, this Proform exercise bike is a little more expensive, but offers more advanced features than the GR 75. One of the best advanced features offered by the GL 35 is the option of choosing between additional, interactive workouts.
This comes in addition to the four workouts that come standard. With the same “on the fly” resistance button that comes on the GR 75, the GL 35 can be used to completely customize a workout, and is great for homes where more than one person will be using it.
A third option is the GR 80. Priced the same as the GL 35, the GR 80 Proform exercise bike offers all of the same great features as the GL 35, in a recumbent style. The most economical of Proform’s recumbent bikes, the GR 80 is a good buy for those who are serious about cross training. If you are considering the GR 80, you’ll want to try it out before buying, as the seat does not have horizontal adjustment.
There are two other upright recumbent models: the Proform GR 90 and the Proform GR 120. Priced at $399 and $499, these Proforms are best for those who are serious about sticking with an at home exercise program. To choose the Proform exercise bike that is right for you, you’ll want to consider your goals.
